

These aluminum meter sticks are rigid and straight. Because they are hollow, the aluminum meter stick has about the same mass as a wooden meter stick.
It can be used to demonstrate Lenz's Law by dropping a neodymium magnet through the hollow stick. The magnetic drag will cause the magnet to drop very slowly; much slower than a coin drops.
