Electrotest (NZ) Ltd does collect data from your visit both passively and by request. Why do we collect this data?

For the smooth running of product purchasing we collect as much data as possible. We do this to establish the owner of the data, ensure the product is sent to the right customer and to make sure future communications with our customers remain not only relevant but also private. Other information collected by us is for statistical use only. This is to improve the product offering, product positioning and category selection. The statistical data is presented to us as collective percentages and trends. Individual behaviour is not identified from browsing data.

What happens to the data collected?

Electrotest (NZ) Ltd does not pass on any data collected to a third party, unless legally requested to do so. All data is encrypted prior to being stored securely on our database. Any information collected can only be accessed by one of our staff who has administrative credentials.

How do we keep your data safe?

In the top left of your screen, next to our name in the address bar, you will see a little padlock. This means our website is using an SSL ( Secure Socket Layer ) certificate. This effectively encrypts data collected before being stored in our database. Most websites work the same way in that the website files are stored on one server and the database files on a different server.

We use Paypal for credit card payments and therefore hold no credit card information from customers at all.
