Description
The GE EP Series 3000 R (SKU 18590) is a 19‑inch rack‑mount, online double‑conversion UPS rated at approximately 3 kVA (2100 W output) designed for use in data‑centres, network/server racks or other critical‑power applications. According to its “rack” designation and the absence of internal batteries in this version, the unit is intended to be paired with external battery modules (for extended runtime) or supplied without internal battery pack to allow custom battery configuration.
Key Features
Based on the EP Series specification documents for the rack and tower models:
-
True on‑line (Voltage & Frequency Independent) double conversion topology – ensures clean, uninterrupted power to connected equipment.
-
Wide input voltage window, 50/60 Hz auto‑sensing – helps tolerate mains fluctuations without switching to battery unnecessarily.
-
Microprocessor‑controlled design with LED status indicators (on-line, battery, bypass, fault) and user‑friendly front panel.
-
Standard communication ports: RS‑232, USB. Optional SNMP/web‑monitoring card slot for network management.
-
Automatic bypass switch in case of UPS fault or overload – ensures continuity of load.
-
Rack form‑factor (19″, 2U or 3U depending depth) with models designed specifically for rack‑mount environments.
-
External battery support: For the rack versions of 2000 / 3000 / 6000 VA models, internal batteries are not included; battery cabinet or external battery pack is required for runtime.
