Description
The Service Sentry® is designed to temporarily protect an entire house from ground fault damage related to a faulted utility service cable. The Service Sentry® utilizes a current sensor around the service entry conduit to measure the current flowing through the utility wires, and detect any current flowing back to the system through an unintentional ground path. When ground fault current is detected, the built in 200A contactor automatically interrupts the customer’s service, preventing potential damage due to stray return currents.
The Service Sentry® mounts between the customer’s Meter and meter base. It can also be used with temporary service restoration devices such as the Servisavor®.
