The 3280-70F combines the 3280-10F with the CT6280 flexible clamp.
The Hioki 3280-10F is an average rectifying 1000A AC clamp meter that features a broad operating temperature range of -25°C up to 65°C, thin and compact clamp core and optional flexible 4200A current sensor that you can attach to let you get into the tightest spots.

The 3280-70F is a set comprising the meter (based on the 3280 series, specifically the 3280-10F model) plus a flexible current sensor (Hioki CT6280) bundled together.

It is designed for AC current measurement up to 1000 A using the clamp, and when used with the flexible sensor up to much higher currents (hundreds or thousands of amps) depending on the sensor.

The meter uses the average-rectified measurement method (not true-RMS) for AC current.
The 3280-70F includes both the meter and an AC Flexible Current Sensor.

1000 A AC direct clamp: The basic meter supports up to 1000 A AC current measurement.

Flexible sensor capability: With the bundled CT6280 flexible current sensor, you can measure large conductors or bundled wires: e.g., up to ~4200 A or so (depending on conditions) when using the flex loop.

Average rectified method: The meter uses average measurement (not true RMS) for AC current; thus it’s accurate for near-sine waveforms, less so for extremely distorted waveforms.

Wide operating temperature, ruggedness: Operating range from –25 °C to +65 °C. Drop-proof from 1 m onto concrete. Slim, compact design.

Slim body / compact jaw size: The core jaw for the direct clamp is ~φ33 mm (1.30in) diameter. The body is very thin (16 mm depth) and lightweight (~100 g) for ease in narrow spaces.

Additional measurement functions: Besides AC current, it supports AC voltage, DC voltage, resistance, continuity (buzzer), etc. (As per the base 3280-10F specs)

Safety / category ratings: For the base model, typical safety ratings include CAT IV 300V for current-jaw side, CAT III 600V for current, and CAT III 300V for voltage.
