Description
The GD28 series from INVT is a flexible general-purpose variable frequency drive (VFD) designed for AC motor control. The model GD28-0R7G-4 specifies:
-
“0R7” = 0.7 kW nominal (approximately 0.75 kW) output power in constant-torque mode.
-
“-4” = AC 3-phase input voltage class 380-480 V.
-
Frame A: As indicated in the catalogue, frame A is for the smallest size (0.2-1.1 kW range) for this series.
-
The drive supports constant-torque loads at 0.75 kW and variable-torque at 1.1 kW for the 380-480 V class version.
So in short: This is a small footprint 0.75 kW 3-phase VFD for 380V input, suitable for light motor control applications, packaged in a compact Frame A size.
Key Features
Here are some of the highlights of the GD28 series (and relevant to the GD28-0R7G-4 model):
-
Compact size: The Frame A (and B) versions support DIN-rail or side-by-side installation with minimal spacing.
-
Wide input voltage compatibility: For the “-4” voltage class, 3-phase 380-480 V input, supports 50/60 Hz.
-
High performance motor control: Supports sensorless vector control (SVC) and V/F control, delivering high starting torque (200% at 0.5 Hz) in some conditions.
-
Safety & EMC features: Built-in braking unit, integrated EMC filter (C2/C3 class), Safe-Torque-Off (STO) compliant for safety.
-
Flexible interfaces & mounting: Spring-loaded control terminals (for some small frames), Type-C interface for parameter setting, side-by-side mounting, DIN-rail for small frames.
-
The documentation lists dimensions and mounting details: For Frame A the width is ~60 mm, height ~190 mm, depth ~155 mm.
